ServiceDDS
A Framework for integrating Real-Time P2P architectures

ServiceDDS

ServiceDDS is a framework for integrating independently developed real-time components into dynamic and decentralized distributed architectures. It is based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) specification for data-centric communications. The current version is implemented using the Real-Time Specification for Java (RTSJ). It provides to developers with several integration tools based in different paradigms like Service Oriented Architecture, Event Driven Architecture or Complex Event Processing. It also provides support for guaranteeing the real-time integrity of the integrated components through scheduling analysis, admission control protocols, cost enforcement or memory management.

Habitat

Smart spaces are ordinary environments where people and facilities can interact. Habitat is a framework for developing applications for smart home spaces. The framework is based on the ServiceDDS extensions of DDS and it is composed of a collection of standard participants that typically interact in home environments. Application developers only have to instantiate these standard participants at runtime to allow home devices to offer their services in the Habitat global service and data space, where users and other participants request them.
